Explain that sessions on the seaside holidays already done have
shown what the seaside is like now but it was different when
their parents and grandparents were young.
Show the seaside pictures of the book in resources and explain
that we will make a class book with the pictures.
Talk about and show pictures of all the specific things that
were at the seaside then e.g. windmills, flags on sandcastles,
donkey rides, carousels, ice cream, candyfloss etc. Make some of
these things.
Put head into a cardboard model of person dressed in swimming
clothes of the past with head part cut out - have photo taken.
